I was born in Belgium, but moved (in truth, I followed my parents :) ) to Western Canada when I was fifteen. I am totally fluent in English and French. I have been a teacher for ELL and FSL students and so for 25 years. I have a BA with a double major in linguistics (in English) and French literature from the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University (British Columbia, Canada), a professional teaching certificate, and a post graduate diploma in the use of computers in education from Simon Fraser University (SFU). I worked as a teacher for the Surrey School district (SD 36) as a Special Education teacher, a French Immersion teacher, and a regular English teacher, but I quit at 50, frustrated I could not provide the best level of support to my students due to budget cuts.
